It is a new year and we are all looking for ways to improve. Take a night to just enjoy dinner instead of racing around trying to get a million things done in one day. Have a quiet dinner for two, or one, or even six!

Experience

I first started off in the restaurant business as a carhop when I was 15. I then bussed tables at Luigi's in Midland, Tx during my high school years. I have been a hostess, waitress, bartender, cashier, barrista, line cook, prep cook, assistant catering manager, kitchen manager, FOH manager, banquet server, banquet bartender, owner and chef of a mobile business. I am sure there are a few positions that I am forgetting, (such as event coordinator), but they will come to me sooner or later.

Certifications
I have a valid Food Manager's certification. For those of you who do not know what that means, I took a five-hour class from the Health Department concerning food temperatures, cross-contamination and various other issues and passed the class. I also have a valid TABC certification. I know when people have had enough to drink. I also have an OSHA safety certification for the ten-hour class.

Cleaning

I know when you work a ten-hour day, you really do not want to do anything except put your feet up and relax.
